سيكون على منتخبي أستراليا والهند تقديم أقصى ما لديهما عندما يلتقيان اليوم (الأربعاء) على الملعب الرديف لمدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية بجدة وذلك ضمن الجولة الأولى من منافسات المجموعة الرابعة في كأس آسيا للناشئين تحت 17 عاماً 2026 في السعودية.
وفي أولى مباراتيهما من أصل مواجهتين فقط لكل منهما، يدرك المنتخبان جيداً أن تحقيق الفوز قد يكون كافياً لحجز بطاقة التأهل إلى الدور ربع النهائي.
وجاء انسحاب منتخب كوريا الشمالية ليجعل المجموعة الرابعة الوحيدة التي تضم ثلاثة منتخبات فقط في البطولة، مما يزيد من أهمية كل انتصار في سباق بلوغ الأدوار الإقصائية.
وكان منتخب أستراليا، الذي بلغ الدور قبل النهائي ثلاث مرات، قد تأهل بسهولة عبر التصفيات، حيث حقق ثلاثة انتصارات وتعادل في مباراة واحدة، ليتصدر المجموعة الخامسة برصيد 10 نقاط.
ويملك المدرب توماس فيرت هدفاً واضحاً يتمثل في بلوغ الدور ربع النهائي، حيث يثق المدرب الأسترالي بشكل كامل بقدرة لاعبيه على الارتقاء إلى مستوى التحدي.

The Australian and Indian teams will have to give their all when they meet today (Wednesday) at the King Abdullah Sports City training ground in Jeddah as part of the first round of the fourth group matches in the 2026 AFC U-17 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia.
In their first match out of only two for each team, both teams are well aware that achieving victory may be enough to secure a spot in the quarter-finals.

Similarly, the Indian team enters the tournament with high confidence after qualifying for the finals for the fourth consecutive time, having topped Group D in the qualifiers.
Coach Bibiano Fernandes' team managed to overcome one of the continent's top teams, Iran, with a 2-1 victory over the Central Asian team, confirming the quality of the South Asian team, which will also seek to compete strongly against Australia.
